COR 2020 Certification in Toronto

COR 2020 stands for Certificate of Recognition (COR®) 2020, a health and safety management system certification recognized across Canada and required for many public and private construction contracts in Toronto and Ontario. It shows that a company has a fully implemented and effective Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) that meets established standards and is independently audited.

  • Develop a safety management system (OHSMS): Your company creates procedures and documentation aimed at preventing workplace injuries and managing health and safety risks.

  • Internal and external audits: You undergo internal review and then external assessment by an IHSA-approved auditor to verify implementation.

  • Certification and maintenance: If successful, you receive a COR 2020 certificate that you must maintain through annual audits and continuous improvement.
